The Journey of Guitar Starz Club began in 2013, when our founder started offering guitar lessons to students in the Greater Toronto Area. Our unique approach to teaching music quickly gained traction, and before long, we were partnering with local schools to share the joy of music with hundreds of young aspiring musicians.
Fast forward to 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world and how we approach music education. With in-person lessons and group sessions becoming challenging, Guitar Starz Club shifted its focus to online lessons. This change allowed us to continue sharing our passion for music and adapt our teaching methods to the evolving needs of our students.
During this time, we also had the opportunity to work with Yousician on various projects, which provided valuable insights into the world of gamified music education. These experiences inspired us to further refine our teaching methods, making them even more engaging and effective.
In search of new horizons and a fresh start, we decided to move to the beautiful Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) in Nova Scotia. This new chapter in our journey has allowed us to expand our reach and offer in-person lessons to students in the Halifax area, in addition to our online lessons available worldwide.
At Guitar Starz Club, we understand the importance of adapting to the modern learning landscape. With the ever-present stimulation from technology and the internet, traditional teaching methods may not be enough to keep students engaged. That's why we focus on gamification, using digital tools and resources to create an interactive, fun, and motivating learning environment.
Our goal is to ensure that students don't see learning music as a chore but rather as an exciting experience they can't wait to return to. With our unique blend of traditional and gamified teaching methods, we aim to foster a love for music in every student who joins Guitar Starz Club.
