FAQ

It’s our goal to utilize technology to bring children together rather than keep them apart. We foster a social setting that promotes confidence, learning and above all fun. Our custom designed learning environment allows us to engage our students unlike any other program can. The applications used in class combined with the Instructor, technology and setting is equivalent to having multiple instructors per class. The technology acts as the conductor telling the students how to play and when to play and gives precise and exact feedback based on their performance. Meanwhile the Instructor is catering to each student, correcting their technique as well as giving them individual advice based on their individual needs while the group is practicing.

It has been proven that students learn at a faster pace in a group setting since they not only learn from their teacher but from their peers as well, and they encourage each other during the process making it a great experience.

The repertoire is chosen as a group by each group. The program encourages the students to learn the music they listen to and share with their friends. It has been proven that students tend to practice their instrument more if they are given music they like to play and are familiar with.

An assessment will be done to each student during the first class to determine what size is the correct one for his/her age and height.  Also, a recommendation of brands and the place to buy or rent will be given to each student to ensure they have the correct instrument to learn successfully.

We recommend the service of Long and McQuade Musical Instruments but you can buy the guitar at any musical instrument store.

If you are interested in renting instead of buying, make sure you ask about their Rent to Own Program.

Parents! Your support is key to helping your children with their musical goals.

These pointers are good to keep in mind to enhance their musical experience:

• Schedule a consistent, daily time for practice.  A 10 to 20 minutes minimum practice time is recommended.

• Provide them with a quite space in which they can practice.

• Listen to your child practice and acknowledge improvement.

• Encourage your child to play for family and friends.

• Offer compliments and encouragement regularly.

• Encourage your child to talk to you about his or her lessons.

• Expose your child to a wide variety of music, including concerts and recitals.
